RESDAL supports the dissemination of IPI’s New Report on Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment in UN Peace Operations
T
he International Peace Institute (IPI) Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) team has recently published the report “Connecting Sexual Exploitation and Abuse with Sexual Harassment in UN Peace Operations.” This report explores how adopting a comprehensive approach can enhance prevention and response to these issues within UN peacekeeping missions.
T
he report, available in English [here], will also be translated into French by early 2025. It highlights how a unified approach to sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (SEAH) can strengthen the UN’s ability to tackle these challenges at their root. This important research was made possible through the support of Canada’s Elsie Initiative for Women in Peace Operations.
RESDAL is committed to advancing this agenda. As part of these efforts, RESDAL launched the project “Women in Peace Operations: Supporting Inclusive Environments through Inter-regional Collaboration and National Engagement” in 2024, also supported by the Elsie Initiative.
