RESDAL relaunches its fellowship program "Talents from the Global South"
Within the framework of the project "Women in Peace Operations: supporting inclusive environments through interregional collaboration and engagement at the national level” supported by the Government of Canada, Resdal has launched a new edition of its fellowship program.
This Resdal program has a track record of more than two decades, in which dozens of Latin American professionals linked to security and defense agendas have participated.
In this new edition, the initiative has expanded its scope and selected professionals from four regions of the global south: Latin America (Brazil and Uruguay), the Middle East and North Africa (Egypt), Asia (India and Pakistan) and Africa (Nigeria and Cameroon).
These professionals will have the opportunity to strengthen their skills by deepening their understanding of the women, peace and security agenda from a hemispheric perspective of the global south.
For one year they will be part of the research team that Resdal has formed for the implementation of the project "Women in Peace Operations: supporting inclusive environments through interregional collaboration and engagement at the national level”.
The research team also includes substantive contributions from the following regional experts: Niloy Biswas from the University of Dhaka (Asia); Cecil Griffiths from the Liberia National Law Enforcement Association; Hala Salem of the Al-Quds Center (MENA) and Gerardo Rodriguez Sanchez Lara of the Universidad de las Americas Puebla (Latin America and the Caribbean)
