RESDAL’s Latest Publication: The organizational culture in the military and the challenges of sexual harassment and abuse
The Red de Seguridad y Defensa de América Latina Internacional (RESDAL) announces the launch of the digital publication: Challenges of military organizational culture in the face of sexual harassment and abuse, within the framework of the project "Women in Peace Operations: supporting inclusive environments through interregional collaboration and engagement at the national level,” supported by the Government of Canada
.
RESDAL’s publication includes an analysis by Dr. Rosita Chacón Castro, a renowned regional military expert, Major (Ret.), Justice Service Academic member and founder of Ecuador's National Academy of Military History.
Chacón analyzes the role and particularities of the military organizational culture as well as the effects of sexual harassment and abuse. In addition, her conclusions include a series of considerations from the perspective of troop-contributing countries to peace operations.
With the publication of Challenges of military organizational culture in the face of sexual harassment and abuse, RESDAL begins its editorial collection "Women, Peace and Security"
