New partnership: RESDAL Internacional and Akila Dignidad
The agreement, which was signed in April 2024, aims to establish relations of inter-organizational cooperation - mainly but not limited to - cooperative activities for the design, execution and evaluation of social and academic structures.
This agreement will be the framework for joint work between both civil society organizations, particularly in projects linked to the defense, security and peace operations agenda at the regional and global levels.
About Akila Dignidad
It is an organization based in Quito, capital of Ecuador, whose mission is the pedagogy of human rights and nature from the care for the renewal of the social fabric and the construction of peace. Its lines of action are emancipatory education, effective communication, political advocacy and strategic litigation.
About RESDAL Internacional
Headquartered in Montevideo, Uruguay, it has a regional and global reach. Its purpose is to promote collaboration between different public and private actors in the areas of democratic governance, respect for human rights, prevention and resolution of conflicts - external or internal - and institutional development at the national level, regional and international.
RESDAL Internacional coordinates actions with civil society organizations, academia, state institutions and international organizations. To achieve its goals, it carries out - among others - actions to promote South-South cooperation, creates networks of exchange between academics and experts, promotes debate, conducts training, organizes conferences and seminars and conducts applied research, diagnostics and evaluations.
