Title: United States. National War College. Course 4, Syllabus - Block A
BLOCK A: THE CHANGING GLOBAL CONTEXT AND TRANSNATIONAL CHALLENGES
In this opening block of five topics, we will provide a broad overview of the post-Cold War global context, focusing on what has changed and what has remained the same. Then, we will examine some of the major transnational or non-traditional challenges to our domestic tranquility and to our security, such as international crime, terrorism, illegal immigration and proliferation. Finally, with these transnational issues in mind, we will examine the "local" security context - U.S. relations with our neighbors in South America.
