Matthew Budd is a researcher focusing on RESDAL's public security and women, peace and security programs. He has a particular interest in public security in Latin America, and was co-Executive producer of RESDAL's Public Security Index: Central America. He has participated in fieldwork within the framework of both programs, carrying out research trips to Belize as part of RESDAL’s work on public security in Central America as well as forming part of the RESDAL team that travelled to Lebanon under the women, peace and security program. British nationality, he holds an honours degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics, and is currently undertaking a Masters in Conflict, Security and Development at Kings College London.
